Fitness Tip | EARLY EXERCISE IS KEY
Although it doesn't matter when we eat, it does matter when we exercise. Evidence suggests exercising in the morning is more effective than evening bouts of aerobic exercise.
Unlike late night exercising, morning exercise temporarily boosts our metabolism, allowing us to burn extra calories hours after exercising. Therefore, an early workout helps your body to burn off extra calories from breakfast, which improves the chances of weight loss occurring.
Other research also suggests it's more effective than having a caffeinated beverage for breakfast, without the crash and burn commonly associated with caffeine.
To get your motor working, aim for at least 30 minutes of aerobic or weight-bearing exercise three to times a week. It doesn't need to be intense, but it should get your heart pumping.
