Diet Tip | WELCOME BACK THE POTATO
Potatoes have developed a reputation over the years for being a significant factor in weight gain. Due to unsavoury media attention, many people assume that they’re not a good option if you’re concerned about preserving or reducing the waistline.
Yet not all potatoes are equal! Dining on a baked potato stuffed with healthy "condiments" can be both healthy and figure-friendly. With around 100 calories per serving, a baked potato is a great way to fill up.
To boost its’ nutritional value, try adding chopped broccoli, carrots or sprouts on top - drizzled with soy cheese. Green beans or red peppers also taste great and contain plenty of antioxidant-rich vitamins.
However, if you are looking after your figure, try to avoid adding fattening condiments such as sour cream, ground beef or big slabs of cheddar cheese, which can cause your waistline to expand.
