
Diet Tip | COLOUR REALLY MATTERS
Want to add more nutrients to your diet? If so, research shows eating a rainbow of fruits and vegetables, ranging from bright red to dark green, is the best way to get all the nutrients you need every day.
This only applies to fruits and vegetables though - junk food, meat, or artificially-coloured foods certainly does not count!
To get the right amount of nutrients, aim for several servings of dark and leafy greens, yellow fruits, orange vegetables, and other types of brightly coloured fruits and vegetables. These foods are an excellent source of folate, vitamin A and vitamin C, whilst some fruits or vegetables also contain potassium, which helps keep your blood pressure in a healthy, manageable range.
